Every year, GREENFOOT partner EFDN (European Football for Development Network) hosts an annual conference at one of their network sites. This year, the 18th EFDN Conference #Morethanfootball took place in Budapest. The programme centered around helping participants and experts share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals in football.
Over 180 representatives and stakeholders from more than 75 European Football Clubs, Leagues, Football Associations and NGOs. The summary video of the conference can be viewed here.
During the course of the 2 day conference, GREENFOOT was presented in an individual breakout session. This session was led by the Energy Institute at Linz, the GREENFOOT project coordinator. The session provided an overview of the project’s aims and objectives, as well as the current state of the art and some preliminary results from surveys that were distributed in France, Azerbaijan, Sweden, and Ireland.
