Earlier this month, the GREENFOOT project took part in a workshop held during the Sustainable Places 2022 event in Nice. The workshop “Innovative financing for EE investments: triggering action & unlocking social impact”, revolved around exploring various ways for Energy Efficiency (EE) investments, renovations, and improvements can be financed in a way that ensures social, as well as environmental, impact. In particular, the workshop presented three European Projects that are using innovative financing schemes as a tool to trigger EE actions at scale and to simultaneously deliver social impact bringing new value propositions to asset managers and brands.
These projects included SUPER-HEERO, which connects supermarkets, shoppers and EE via innovative financing and investment opportunities, EaaS, which focuses on gathering and supporting stakeholders around pay for use models for energy efficiency, and GREENFOOT.
GREENFOOT presented its crowdfunding model for energy efficiency renovations as a possible way to combine social and environmental impact, as well as some of the projects initial findings relating to crowdfunding models and efficacy and the best practices and various approaches for EE renovations in stadiums.
