This event is an interactive workshop for crowdfunding professionals from across Europe. It is an opportunity to build your network, open up the sports market to crowdfunding, and shape the direction of the crowdfunding dialogue at the European level!

The upcoming workshop is organized by the GREENFOOT project to discuss the challenges and opportunities for sustainable crowdfunding campaigns for football stadiums and sport buildings in Europe. GREENFOOT is an EU-funded project (#893858) that supports citizen engagement with the energy transition through crowdfunding in sports. With the support of UEFA and the European Commission, and together with partners such as the French, Azerbaijani Football Federations and the Football Association Ireland, EFDN (network of private football teams), energy giant EDF and Eurocrowd (the European Crowdfunding Network) GREENFOOT is working to develop and implement community-based financing schemes for renovating stadiums, practice facilities, and related buildings (e.g. team headquarters, fitness centres) with energy efficiency and renewable energy measure across Europe.

This workshop will present the work of GREENFOOT in mapping best practices and successful campaigns related to sports and sustainable energy, and for you to share your own expertise, give visibility to a present or future campaigns, and discuss with like-minded experts on how we can combine diverse experiences to better leverage the great potential of crowdfunding to support the energy transition.
